A Special Message from ASOMI

ASOMI, a group of indigenous female elders and healers in the Colombian Amazon, share thanks for helping them to acquire 75 biodiverse acres of land with a donation from our Hummingbird Lip Chic.

This year, with our partners at the Amazon Conservation Team, we pledged to use our Hummingbird Lip Chic to support the ASOMI women of the Colombian Andes-Amazon. Our goal: to help these indigenous elders and knowledge-keepers acquire 75 acres of biodiverse land that they can legally steward and protect from deforestation. With your help, we were able to donate $75,000 to help ASOMI expand their property, which will soon be established as the first national reserve for the protection of plants and traditional knowledge in the area. Thank you for helping us in our mission to preserve our planet’s beauty and protect those who are its caretakers!
